Are you ready to write your first song ever?
Songwriting is a very personal process, and the way you approach it will vary greatly based on your personality, experience, and ability. I have my own approach, and others have their own. I have been very successful using my own systematic approach to songwriting, and I’ve worked with a lot of songwriters to help them improve their songwriting as well.
I normally work with experienced musicians looking to expand on their songwriting abilities. However, I do hear from beginners all the time, who don’t know where to start when it comes to learning the ropes and writing their first song. So I wanted to put together a great resource where I give beginners a great step-by-step process to follow to write their first song in a simple and quick manner.
If you are a complete beginner and you are looking for a great place to start writing your very first song, you’ve come to the right place. In this episode I’m going to walk you through a 10 step process to take you from a blank page to having written your first song. In order to make the most of this, I have created a free worksheet for you to follow along, and I recommend you get that right now:
You can access your worksheet by clicking here.
It is a Google document. You need to click File > Make a copy before you can use it. You can make as many copies as you like, for different songs.
